We are looking for a time served skilled person with experience of fitting, turning and milling to act as an instructor for apprentices for a leading naval support business
The ideal candidate for the position of Apprentice Instructor (fitting, turning and milling) would also need to have excellent all round engineering skills and the aptitude to train young people and act as their own role model.
Any teaching or NVQ assessor qualifications would be advantageous
The day to day duties of the Engineering Apprentice Instructor (fitting, turning and milling) will involve training all apprentices in aspects of health and safety, turning, milling and fitting.
This role is vital in helping them complete their qualifications to succeed as a modern apprentice. As their instructor you would also be responsible for all of their placements, NVQ and PEO paperwork as well as dealing with any day to day issues they may have.
The company provides through-life services and deep maintenance to the Royal Navy's major warships and nuclear-powered submarines as well as operating a wide range of strategic shore-based naval support facilities.
Successful applicants will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements.
